「WASHI」
-伊勢和紙を使用した展示のお知らせ-
きれいな水と空気がある場所で生まれる和紙は、軽やかさと奥行きを併せもつ。
そのやわらかさは、手のあらゆる動きを受け止め、顔料や圧、時間の層を吸い込む。
Washi paper born in places blessed with pure Water and Air possesses both lightness and depth.
Its Softness embraces every movement of the Hand, absorbing layers of pigment, pressure, and time.
作家は和紙と対話しながらそれぞれの手法で作品を作り上げていき、ひとつひとつの作品には、作家が触れた痕跡と行為の記憶が刻まれる。
本展では、作家たちが和紙を支持体として用いた作品を展示する。
Artists create their works through dialogue with washi, each employing their own techniques. Each piece bears the Imprint of the
artist’s touch and the memory of their actions.
This exhibition presents works by artists who use Washi paper as their support.
